Pierre Louys – The Adventures of King Pausole, published by The Society of Sophisticates, 1927, Hardcover, First Edition.  Black cloth spine with gilt lettering design and green/gold veined paper boards.  Top edge gilt; illustrated with 8 tipped-in illustrations printed in black and gold paper and tipped onto heavy black mount paper.  Illustrations are signed ‘L. Welshans – 27.’  Book in Very Good to Near Fine Condition with a few small bumps/rubbing to top and bottom boards; pencil notation top right (limited ed.) and inside back board bottom 3 small notations (Ltd. Ed. Price, number 53).  Dust Jacket in Good condition as has some soiling/rubbing to front and back and tear top front spine.  Overall a very nice copy - $135.00
